I was told there would be cake.

And there was.  Delicious milk chocolate cake with vanilla frosting.  Right in the middle of the scheduling meeting.  Yum, thanks Abby.

Earlier this week YouthBuild moved into brand new offices.  I was blessed with a southern exposure to my office and plenty of sunlight bursting in, just asking for plants to be sitting on that windowsill.  I made a trip to my local Price Chopper last night and was pleasantly surprised by the selection of ferns/ivy/and small tropical plants that do so well in the office.  I bought four for the office and an extra one for my coffee table at home.    I feel that I am at least 50% more effective in my office now that it is pretty and more awesome.

Pretty Ivy

Hello, turtle!

More plants!

Other decorations include this chalk board.

A Candy dish- the office equivalent of walking a cute puppy...everyone wants to stop and talk to you.

Fun stuff for the various children (and adults and me) who visit my office.

My growing Inspiration/Motivation Wall with quotes and pictures- Any good suggestions for additions to this???

When that just isn't enough a large supply of sweet smelling Bath & BodyWorks products (they have the best sales ever!).

Hope your weekend is off to a good start!

Stop, Collaborate, and Listen

As a follow up to the list of good and bad bands posted I wanted to let you know that I now shamelessly love any and all 90s music.  I don't care how bad O*Town really was, what I do care about is that the music makes me happy.  That there are rumors that they are getting back together, without Ashley Parker-Angel so who really cares...and that there is now a 90s radio station in the area!!!  105.7 The Crush

It's just a little crush (crush)
Not like I faint every time we touch...

ok, I should really be getting to bed...

Night All!

1) Ponder 2) Write List 3) Post List

I do enjoy a good list.  They make me feel organized.  I love looking at them, editing them, putting them on post it notes, in journals, and most of all adding them to my "Life Long Lists" section of my note book.  Inspired by my fathers ipressive birding "Life List" and my impulse buy of a tiny mead notebook at age 12, I embarked on a life long love of lists.  Lists that range from the average grocery list to my action plan if I won the lottery- hey, you never know...below is an exerp from my very first list ever.
Good Bands/Bad Bands

Good: Matchbox 20, Sugar Ray, Blink 182, Train, Sum 41
